The Math Department of Michalah in Jerusalem is sponsoring a Mathematics Ulpaniada, a competition for religious high school girls involving problem solving through mathematical thinking. The competition is appropriate for students in the 9th-12th grades who have a basic understanding of 9th and 10th grade math.
The early competitions will take place in high schools in Israel and abroad and the final stage will take place at the Michlalah, with top performers from different schools invited to join together in Jerusalem at Michlalah’s expense. The concluding ceremony will be attended by the Israel Minister of Education, Mr. Gideon Saar and Nobel Prize winner, Professor Yisrael Auman. Students who rank first place will receive a $3000 scholarship to the Michlalah.
