An overwhelming majority of SKA seniors choose to attend Israel Yeshivot for a post high school year of learning.  The growth that the students experience during this year devoted to Torah learning is evident in our graduates who return.

The faculty and administration at SKA is committed to helping girls who are interested in attending Yeshivot in Israel find the school or schools that are best suited for their goals.  To that end, our Grade Level Advisors meet with the students continuously to understand the kinds of programs that are appropriate for each student.

Some of the questions that you might consider when thinking about this process are:

1) Do I want to be in Jerusalem

2) Do I want to learn in a big school or a smaller school?

3) Do I want to spend time (how much) learning with a chavruta or do I want the teacher to teach it all?

4) How important is the physical layout of the school?

5) How important is the neighborhood where the school is located?

6) Am I willing to consider a new school?

Mrs. Paghit Ralbag, Mrs. Deena Kobre, the Senior Class Grade Level Advisors (ext. 249, 246), and Mrs. Elisheva Kaminetsky, Director of Religious Guidance (ext. 129), are available to meet with students and speak with parents.

Schedule of student interviews for the various schools will be posted shortly.

There is an Israel Joint Application. You need only fill out this application once and then you can photocopy your application and send it to the other Israel schools that you are applying to.

The schools that use the joint application include: Midreshet Moriah, Midreshet Harova, Midreshet Lindenbaum, Ba'er Miriam, Mayanot, MMY, Sha’alvim, Machon Gold, Tiferet, Emunah V'Omanut and Nishmat. You can access the joint application by going online to the school's website. Please note that many schools that accept the Joint Israel Application ALSO may have their own supplemental forms that need to be filled out!!

Michlalah, Sharfman's, Darchei Binah, Afikei Torah, and Midreshet Tehillah have their own applications.  They are available in the Israel Guidance Office and online.

Yeshiva University's Center for the Jewish Future has recently created a website with a comprehensive compilation of information regarding most of the Israel seminaries. Please visit http://www.yu.edu/CJF/GIS.
